I’m Patricia, the photographer behind Valvanera Studio in Bilbao. After nine years behind the camera I have learned to tell family stories from a place of calm, always seeking naturalness, elegance and that lasting emotion. My family photography — sessions at home, on the beach or in nearby outdoor locations — is born from a desire to document life as it truly is: movement, laughter, looks and small gestures that, in the end, say everything. My approach is inspired by the look and feeling of analog film: I’m drawn to the texture of black and white and images that seem to breathe. That doesn’t mean rigid poses — I prefer soft conversations, play and natural rhythms that allow both children and adults to be themselves. The result is authentic, intimate photographs with a cinematic sensitivity, suitable for newborn and baby shoots as well as childhood sessions, baptisms or communions. How do I work? Before the session we talk: I want to get to know you, your story and which moments matter most. On the day of the shoot my presence is respectful and discreet; I aim to accompany, not direct. Afterwards I carefully edit the images to highlight the emotion and aesthetic that define your reportage. I deliver the photos in a private online gallery where you can download high-resolution files, share them with family and order prints or albums. If you wish, I also offer professional album layout to turn your images into a tangible, enduring object. I work from Bilbao and travel across Bizkaia, Santander and the rest of Spain.
