Hello — I’m Jorge, the photographer behind Estudio Jota, and my commitment as a photographer in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is simple: turning family bonds into images that move you. I specialize in family photography, seeking naturalness, spontaneity and that special connection that forms only between people who love each other. I work so every album becomes an intimate, personal story—not a collection of staged poses. Why choose Estudio Jota for your family session? After years photographing families on the island, I’ve learned to spot those fleeting moments and capture them honestly. My images avoid artificiality; I prefer to immerse myself in your family’s dynamic and let emotions flow, producing sincere and memorable results. My approach and style I work with a close, documentary style: I observe and accompany, but I also interact when needed to help portraits come out naturally. I’m comfortable both in the studio and on location; Las Palmas offers beaches, dunes and natural corners that encourage spontaneity and help little ones relax. If you prefer the intimacy of home, I also do in-home sessions to capture everyday warmth. How I work with you Before the session we get to know each other: we’ll have a preliminary contact to understand your style, choose the location and plan small details (clothing, timing, whether you want to include pets or grandparents). The goal is for you to arrive comfortable and relaxed: I guide you with simple posture and play suggestions to provoke natural smiles and authentic looks. During the session I leave room for improvisation, because the best moments often appear there. Types of family sessions I offer newborn and baby sessions, children’s photography, family books, baptism portraits, communion reports and birthday sessions (including Smash Cake). All of them follow the same philosophy: caring for emotion and aesthetics so these photos accompany you always.
