I’m Monika, a photographer and visual artist based in Pájara, dedicated to family photography with an intimate and respectful approach. I specialize in accompanying families through moments that deserve to last: the first meeting with a newborn, a baby’s smiles, the spontaneous play of children, and small ceremonies such as baptisms, first communions or birthdays. I work from the conviction that the best images arise from trust, calm and connection. My approach is documentary and sensitive: I aim to capture authentic gestures rather than rigid poses. The island of Fuerteventura and its wide, luminous landscapes are part of my visual language; I like to integrate nature as a setting that supports and enhances each family’s story. Every session is a slow exploration: we talk, refine an idea and walk together through the chosen location, allowing emotions to surface without forcing them. I create safe spaces where parents and children feel seen and relaxed — that’s what enables images of truth and tenderness. I work closely and personally with each family. Before the session I invite you to a consultation to get to know one another, discuss what matters to you and create a small visual guide (moodboard) that will serve as our compass on the day. During the session my presence is discreet but attentive: I accompany you, suggest simple movements and let moments flow. Afterwards I carefully select and edit the photographs to preserve the atmosphere and tones we experienced in the moment. I choose to work with families who value authenticity: those who want images that reflect how they really are, not a perfected version.
