I’m Scarlata Reyes, a family photographer based in Santa Brígida. My work is born from a passion for telling stories with great care: capturing those simple moments that, over time, become windows to the past. Since I began in 2010 and discovered the magic of seeing a child’s innocence reflected in an image, I have dedicated myself to family and maternity photography as the central focus of my work. My approach combines documentary sensitivity with a warm, poetic aesthetic: I aim for each session to flow without forced poses, creating a relaxed atmosphere where genuine gestures, laughter and looks emerge that express what truly makes you a family. I work outdoors, taking advantage of the light and the special corners that Gran Canaria offers, and I also have a studio space for more intimate sessions. My method is close and honest. Before the session we talk to get to know each other, choose the location and clear up any questions; during the session I accompany you calmly, using conversation and play so children can relax; and afterwards I deliver a carefully selected set of edited images so you can relive those moments. I offer wardrobe advice and provide some specially designed garments for expectant mothers and families; this helps make the session easier and ensures an aesthetic you love, a reciprocity I appreciate when I can share the work on social media. I regularly work with babies, children and entire generations, and I adapt to their pace: I’m quick and sensitive to little ones’ needs so the experience is pleasant and memorable.
