I’m Javi Sahagún and I work from Miranda de Ebro, telling family stories with an honest, unposed approach. As a father, I know how precious everyday gestures are: a laugh between siblings, a knowing look, the fragility of those first days with a newborn. My specialty is family photography — I turn those intimate moments into images that feel authentic and that accompany you throughout life. My approach is inspired by documentary photography and a search for naturalness. I prefer to remain unobtrusive while life unfolds so I can capture real, unstaged moments. I work to help children have fun and for adults to relax: I suggest small actions, games and situations that encourage spontaneity so the photos come naturally. The goal is that, when you look at the images, you recognize exactly who you are. We talk before the session: it matters to me to get to know you, to understand what makes you laugh, which places you love and which memories you want to preserve. Together we choose the setting — outdoors, your home or a place that means something to you — and I plan the session thinking about the light and how to make the most of each moment. My manner is warm and unhurried: I want the experience to be enjoyable so you leave feeling you had a great time, as well as with beautiful photographs. I work with families at every stage: maternity and pregnancy, newborns, babies, sessions with children, baptisms, communions and family celebrations like birthdays. I always aim for images that feel timeless, that won’t date, and that will still move you years from now.
