Javier Cabezas is a photographer specializing in family photography, based in the heart of Ponferrada. Since 2008 he has dedicated his work to telling family stories with sensitivity and respect: natural images, full of light and emotion, that preserve the authenticity of each home. Our approach always places the family at the center. We understand that every family has its own dynamic—laughter, glances, everyday gestures—and we work to let those small truths surface naturally. In the studio we have nine different sets that allow us to create varied and recognisable atmospheres; we also offer outdoor sessions when you want a more spontaneous result tied to the surroundings. Whatever the option, we seek genuine rapport among the people in front of the camera to capture sincere moments. Working with children is central to our process: we create a warm, relaxed space where little ones can be themselves. Our method is unhurried and respectful; we prioritise the child’s wellbeing and the family’s calm so that images arise without forcing smiles. We also have technical and artistic resources for sessions with babies and newborns, as well as for special family occasions—such as baptisms, communions, or birthdays—while maintaining the natural signature that characterises our work. We take care of every phase of the project: from the initial conversation, where we listen to what matters to you, to the final delivery. We have our own laboratory and binding workshop, which allows us to supervise the quality of printing and the presentation of each keepsake.
