At Tortuiguana Photography we position ourselves as specialists in family photography in Villaquilambre (León). We are Pedro and Ana: he is behind the camera, she connects with the children and looks after the props — many handmade — so every session is unique, authentic and comfortable for the whole family. Our approach revolves around four core values we consider essential: naturalness, spontaneity, joy and creativity. We avoid rigid posing and look for moments where gestures, laughter and genuine looks emerge. Many of our outdoor sessions unfold like a pleasant walk: calm locations, the best light and a relaxed atmosphere that helps everything flow naturally. In the studio we create a comfortable environment where children and babies feel safe and parents relaxed. We work with families of all ages and formats. Thanks to our experience working with children from 0 to 12 years, we have developed strong empathy that allows us to understand their rhythms, have fun with them and capture their essence. For newborn sessions we have a specially adapted studio: pleasant temperature, calm and flexible timing so the baby and parents are relaxed. If you are thinking about a newborn session, we guide you on the best timing and necessary preparation. Our method is close and participatory. Whenever possible, we prefer to meet beforehand to build trust; this helps children loosen up and the images gain naturalness. During the session we accompany and suggest gestures or small cues when they are helpful, but above all we aim to be witnesses of what happens: hugs, play, complicity and those moments that pass by too quickly. In addition to family photography, we offer maternity sessions, sitter sessions, child portraits and first-communion sessions; all treated with the same care and sensitivity, although our specialty is family photography. We are motivated by the idea of preserving memories that move you years from now: an album, a wall of photos or simply the memory of how each stage felt.
