I'm Alba, the person behind A.Meraki Photography in Igualada. After 14 years working in early childhood education and becoming a mother in 2019, I discovered that photography is the most powerful way to pause time and preserve a family's small but great stories. That's why I specialize in family photography: my aim is to transform everyday moments into memories that will move you years from now. My approach blends tender documentary style with gentle direction: I look for authentic scenes, spontaneous laughter and sincere glances. I work both outdoors and in my studio in Igualada, with bright, airy spaces that allow for warm, luminous images as well as more intimate, artistic portraits. I love designing sessions together with mothers (and anyone else who wants to join), tailoring each shoot to the personality of the family so the result is unique and true to you. How does the process work? We start with a conversation to get to know each other, define the style and choose a location or the studio space. During the session I create a relaxed, playful atmosphere: games, hugs and small activities that help children (and adults) forget the camera and show their true selves. Patience and a caring approach are essential; my experience with little ones has taught me how to adapt the pace and make everything flow naturally. Although my specialty is family sessions, I also offer maternity and newborn reportage that complement the family story and document decisive stages of parenthood and early childhood.
