La mirada de Nats

I'm Natalia, the photographer behind La mirada de Nats, and my specialty is family and maternity photography. I work from the closeness and experience of someone who has lived parenting firsthand: as a mother I understand the desire to preserve those everyday moments that, in truth, become the most valuable. My approach starts from a simple idea: beauty lies in the imperfect. I prefer to come into your home with discretion and patience to capture real connections between people, without forced poses or artifices. In my sessions I aim to create an atmosphere of trust and respect that allows the family to express themselves naturally — the slow looks, the searching hands, the small routines — so those gestures are immortalized with tenderness and texture. Technically, I combine the best of digital photography with the warmth of analog film. The result is a mix of crisp, direct images alongside frames with grain and tone that give character and timelessness. I'm drawn to the documentary language: telling visual stories that you can look at and reread with emotion years from now. I work mainly in Sant Just Desvern and Barcelona, travelling to your home so you feel comfortable in the environment that defines you most. The process is relaxed: we agree on timing and rhythm, I arrive with all the necessary equipment and, between play and everyday life, I capture the moments that best represent your story. Although my focus is family and maternity photography, in some packages I can also include short, carefully produced video pieces to accompany the still images. However, my positioning and experience are clearly rooted in documentary and emotional photography of parenting.
