I am Iolanda Domènech, a family photographer based in Tarragona, and my passion is family photography. My approach focuses on transforming everyday life into images that move you: honest portraits, shared looks and gestures that may seem fleeting at first but hold whole lives within them. I work from the conviction that “our soul has a story to tell,” and I dedicate myself to telling it with a natural, luminous and sensitive style. My professional background in design and photography — more than 20 years in the field and over 10 years touching hearts with my portraits — has allowed me to develop a distinctive visual language. In every session I aim to connect with families, creating an atmosphere of trust and calm so authentic moments can emerge: laughter, hugs, and knowing silences. My approach is both documentary and artistic; I don’t pursue rigid poses but genuine instants that reflect who you are. How I work: before the session I hold a pre-consultation to understand what you want to remember and how you feel most comfortable. In my Tarragona studio I create warm environments tailored to each family, with props and wardrobe available if you wish, or we can head outdoors to capture natural light and the surroundings that identify you. During the session I guide you gently, encouraging movement and real situations so children can flow and adults can relax. Beyond family sessions, I photograph babies and newborns, intimate family celebrations (such as communions or small gatherings) and children’s portraits — always from a familial perspective that prioritizes emotion and respects each child’s pace. I deliver images with careful editing and support you in the selection process so you can choose the keepsakes you want: albums, boxes, prints or digital files.
