I’m Luis Zama, a photographer based in Mérida specializing in family photography. My work comes from the need to tell everyday stories honestly: images that breathe, that record laughter, glances and details which, over time, become indispensable memories. My approach is documentary and natural. I don’t look for forced poses: I prefer to let the family express itself, move calmly and capture those sincere moments — a game, a caress, an unexpected laugh — that say more than any pose. I work with babies, newborns, children and family celebrations such as baptisms, communions and birthdays, always keeping the same philosophy: close, unpretentious photographs where light and the moment lead the way. How I work: before the session we talk to get to know each other, understand what matters to you and choose the location that fits best (your home, a nearby park or one of the natural spots I love around Mérida). I like to create a relaxed, easygoing atmosphere: with children I always leave room for play and discovery, and with the very little ones I prioritize calm and patience so everything flows naturally. My eye is on the details: the evening light, a hand holding another, the connection between siblings. Those elements are what turn a photo into a memory with soul. I’m also aware that every family is unique, so I adapt my vision and proposals to your pace and personality, without imposing formulas. Why choose me?
