Frames of Us — Ismael Torres — is a project born from the idea of preserving fragments: small frames of family life that, over time, become legacy. As a family photographer in Boiro, my aim is not to pose people but to portray who you are when no one asks: laughter in the kitchen, shared naps, games in the garden, or the knowing look between siblings. Before the session, in our first meeting in Boiro or via video call, I listen to you: how your routine works, which corners of your home define you, and which memories you want to preserve. That conversation allows me to integrate your story into the images and create a relaxed atmosphere where people — and especially children — move with natural ease. During the session I seek presence and discretion. I prefer photographing from emotional closeness and without forcing poses. This is how images arise that feel like heirlooms: with grain, natural light and a color palette that favors warmth and the truth of each family. For many couples and families in Galicia, my photographs become the albums leafed through in the living room — visual narratives that travel across generations. The result I deliver is meant to be both usable and meaningful: a carefully curated selection of images you will remember fondly, plus the option to receive your frames in digital format and as a physical album to hold in your hands.
