I’m Nora, the photographer behind Amigo mío Fotografía in Canillejas (Madrid). After years working as a professional photographer and a project focused since 2016 on portraying the relationship between humans and animals, I have developed a sensitive and calm approach to family sessions. My specialty is creating images that tell stories: they don’t force poses but capture genuine emotions and the complicity within your family. My way of working is slow and respectful: before the session we talk to get to know each other, understand which moments you want to preserve, and decide whether you feel more comfortable in the studio or taking a walk in a nearby park. In the studio I use minimalist sets and neutral backdrops that leave all the focus on the people (and the pets). For outdoor sessions I prefer simple Madrid locations that favor natural light and the spontaneity of play and a stroll. I value patience and calm; many families arrive with children and dogs or cats, and my experience allows me to handle each situation with humor and serenity so the session is enjoyable for everyone. I use small, respectful techniques to relax little ones and attract animals’ attention, always mindful of their pace and wellbeing. The result is sincere photographs with a clean, luminous aesthetic that fit beautifully in albums and on home walls. I believe the best images come from trust: that’s why I care about clear communication beforehand, explain the session’s rhythm, and provide a peaceful atmosphere where you can enjoy the moment. After the session I carefully select and edit the images, seeking colors and framing that enhance looks and gestures. My goal is that when you open an album or hang a portrait at home you feel again that tenderness, that laughter or that knowing glance.
