I’m Julia Lorente Strunk, and my work with families in Castilla is based on a simple premise: no posing, all being. My photography is documentary — I aim to connect with emotions and tell real stories — and I do it with a natural, close, and professional eye. I work as if I were one more person at home: we spend a morning or an afternoon together, make breakfast barefoot, play, read, paint… all without watching the clock. That closeness turns the camera into a tool that observes without forcing, and the result is sincere images that reflect your perfect chaos, not a rehearsed version. My goal is that even those who hate having their photo taken relax and recognize themselves in the images. Before the session we have a video call to get to know each other, answer questions about clothing, and choose locations where you’ll feel comfortable. During the session I guide subtly so things flow: I don’t give rigid poses, I join in games and real moments, and I let spontaneity arise. Experience has taught me that trust is the foundation of everything; that’s why I work only with families who allow themselves to let go and create that inexplicable connection with me. I deliver the photographs with care and speed: I love editing and I am involved in every selection so the gallery tells your story coherently. Each project reminds me why I chose photography: not just to show faces, but to preserve feelings. I live and work in Castilla, and I love that families from the region trust my documentary eye.
