At Retratos y Relatos S.L., based in Moratalaz, we specialize in family photography. Angie leads the project with a background in Communication and years of experience that have turned her into an expert at translating emotions into images; her passion for family photography stems from her own experience of motherhood and from a desire for each portrait to recall not only how someone looked, but how they felt. Our approach: capturing real stories. We favor natural moments over stiff poses: we talk, play, set up small scenes and let each family member’s personality guide the session. In the studio — a versatile space Angie describes as “a theatre” that changes with each session — we create comfortable, safe, and thoughtfully styled atmospheres so babies, children and adults can relax. For children’s sessions we work with age-appropriate games and resources; for newborns and infants we offer first-year follow-ups, single sessions or celebrations such as smash-the-cake. Preparation and attention to detail. Before the session we dedicate time to preproduction: selecting backgrounds, outfits and props that add meaning to the images. During the shoot we suggest gentle posing, check results in real time, and look for those small glances that turn a photograph into a memory. After the shoot we take care of post-production with digital development and professional retouching to enhance the magic of the images without losing their authenticity. Versatility in family keepsakes. In addition to family sessions, we work with children, babies, newborns, communions and birthday events, adapting pace and photographic language to each stage of life. Our goal is that, when you look back at the photographs years from now, you can clearly relive the moments, laughter and gestures that today feel everyday. A close and straightforward relationship.
