I’m Marta San Román and my passion is family photography: freezing moments, preserving gestures and turning everyday memories into images that move you. I work from San Fernando de Henares and the Corredor del Henares, and my approach is based on the idea that the best photos come from naturalness and the meaning of the moment: the tenderness between parents and children, spontaneous laughter and knowing looks. I present myself as a specialist in family photography because I believe experience and sensitivity make a difference. My background in journalism and career in communications taught me to notice details and to tell stories with images. In family sessions I seek a relaxed, close atmosphere: we talk beforehand to choose location and clothing, I prioritise natural light and let the session flow so I can capture authentic moments. My aim is not to make people pose, but to photograph relationships. How I work: we start with a prior conversation to understand what you want to remember; on the day of the session I make sure everything is comfortable and easygoing so children, babies and adults feel at ease; during the session I guide with minimal intervention and a lot of patience, because the best smiles come from spontaneity. Afterwards I select and edit the images carefully, looking after color and atmosphere so each photo conveys that instant of happiness. Although family photography is at the heart of my work, I also specialise in sessions focused on babies, newborns, children and special moments such as baptisms, communions and birthdays, always with the same warm, documentary sensitivity.
