I'm Rocío — a photographer of emotions, a coach and a mother; my gaze has specialized in family photography in Cartagena. Since 2011 I've learned that the best images cannot be forced: they must be felt. My role is to accompany you so that, being yourselves, you appear as you are — with tenderness, imperfect laughter and shared silences — and so that those moments become family photos that truly represent you. My approach is simple and honest: I work outdoors or in your home because I no longer shoot in a studio. I use only natural light and a clean aesthetic that leaves room for each person’s personality. I move quietly to remain unnoticed and capture the essence: those small gestures, intertwined hands, looks that speak. For me, the session is a meeting, not a performance; that’s why I always say we must be a team: your calm helps me create natural images, and families tell me the experience is relaxed and enjoyable. Combining my coaching training with photography adds an extra sensitivity: I usually prepare brief conversations before the session to understand what you want to convey and, if someone is shy in front of the camera, I use gentle techniques to help them relax. I also advise on clothing and location so everything flows with visual coherence. Although my specialty is family photography, I work naturally with newborns and children and I create sessions that include key moments such as newborn portraits, baptism or First Communion when they are part of your family story. Each stage has its own pace and way of being told; my aim is that every image becomes a meaningful and lasting memory for the future.
