My name is Kata (Aritz Catalán) and I specialize in family photography in Pamplona and the surrounding area. From my cozy studio in Mutilva and at outdoor locations, my goal is to create images that don’t feel posed but true memories: knowing looks, spontaneous hugs and little gestures that tell your story. I approach family photography with a documentary, close style. I don’t look for forced smiles: I prepare relaxed sessions where children and adults feel comfortable, play and become themselves again. That naturalness is what I turn into photographs that will stand the test of time. I love capturing the bond between generations, tiny hands, impromptu embraces and those moments that, without realizing it, become essential. My way of working combines studio experience with sensitivity for outdoor photography. In the studio, controlled lighting and clean backdrops allow for more timeless and artistic photos; outdoors, I use natural light and surroundings (parks, riverbanks, green spaces) to create warm, lively images. I always adapt the session to each family’s rhythm: no rush, respect for children and a desire for everyone to enjoy the process. In addition to family sessions, I have developed extensive experience with babies and newborns, so I know how to handle and support the little ones to keep the session safe and calm.
