I'm Layla Aguado, the photographer behind Carpe Diem Photography in Novelda, and my work is built on a simple idea: to photograph what truly matters. As a family photographer my priority is to create a warm, unhurried atmosphere where everyone can be themselves. I look for natural moments, authentic connection and real emotion — not forced poses, but the little instants that tell your story. My approach is personal and empathetic. During the session I take time to get to know you: what makes you laugh, how the children look at each other, the routines you share with a pet, or that small knowing gesture between parents. This attention to detail lets me gently guide the session so genuine moments can emerge. I work both from my studio in Novelda and on location across the province when light and surroundings can add something special to the story you want to remember. The process is designed to be enjoyable. Before the session we talk to understand your wishes, plan the best approach and answer any questions. On the day I create a relaxed space: no clocks, plenty of play and the patience to let kids warm up and adults forget the camera. My experience and sensitivity help me capture glances, embraces and small family habits that, over time, become treasured memories. Although my specialty is family photography, I also document related milestones: newborn albums, baby photos and sessions for first communion or baptism, always with the same tenderness and respect. Every image aims to be a window onto a specific emotion — a fragment of life you can return to and feel again. I work calmly, with care and respect for every stage of family life; I invest myself in each detail because photography is, above all, an act of care.
